Qualifications
• The ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years of experience focusing on litigation cases, including managing records and discovery, preparing for trial, and providing trial support
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
• Teamwork oriented
• Knowledge of legal terminology and principles
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Ability to analyze legal documents and ensure accuracy
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion with limited guidance
• Ability to record billable time in accordance with client guidelines
• Additional qualifications include excellent analytical and organizational abilities, solid communication and management skills, creativity, initiative, and ability to work in a team environment
• MS Office, Zoom, and Adobe proficiency required
• Experience with key legal applications including Perfect Law, M365, Adobe, Drop Box, Mimecast
Responsibilities
• Paralegal is responsible for managing all aspects of records and materials pertaining to case, manage electronic version of case file
• Manage all aspects of scheduling for treating witnesses and support other scheduling tasks
• Manages record subpoena and collection process
• Assists with the collection of material from client, opposing parties, and third parties (hard copies, electronic data, physical evidence)
• Manages logistics of production of documents and records
• Analyzes documents and materials
• Legal and factual cite checking
• Research and checks fact cites for proper format, content, and accuracy
• Compiles appendices and exhibits
• Manages trial and hearing preparation and support, including coordinating and managing trial technology
• Supports the preparation of pretrial documents
• Manages trial transcripts
• Review and summarize medical records and prepare medical chronologies
• Prepare deposition summaries
• Assist with the preparation, e-filing, and service of pleadings. May include preparing briefs, discovery, pleadings, and other legal documents
