Whitestone, PC.  has opening(s) for Paralegal in Chicago, IL area regarding real estate disputes and general litigation matters dealing with various government and private entities. Whitestone, PC. is a private firm with private and exclusive clientele requiring utmost confidentiality and discretionary practice.

Duties May Include

  • Assist in the receipt and evaluation of new complaints
  • Triage incoming cases
  • Process Civil complaints by responding to correspondence and phone calls
  • Draft data requests
  • Support HQ and/or Regional staff in conducting investigations
  • Prepare case closure documents
  • Physically file and handle matter in person with various government entities, ie. City, county, municipal and state.
  • Perform other tasks in complaint resolution process
  • Traveling required to other municipalities and state institutions

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance.
  • Bachelors or Paralegal Certificate, or currently attending an ABA-accredited paralegal school, having completed at least one year of study.
  • Requires sound working knowledge of city and state court systems, legal research procedures, and legal research resources and/or willing to take specific instructions from senior attorneys. Must be very detail oriented.
  • Requires excellent written and oral communication skills and thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
  • Must have hands-on familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including word processing, databases (such as document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, and imaging.
  • Role also requires hands-on familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources.
